About this Cook
I am 24 years old and have been cooking since I was 9 years old. I was basically born with a spatula in my hand. I like trying different recipes on my boyfriend. While he is a meat and potatoes kind of guy, I tend to enjoy veggies and pasta more. He usually just eats whatever I put in front of him though.
My favorite things to cook
I love trying different chicken and italian dishes. I tend modify ingredients in a recipe to make the dish healthier. I also love to bake! Especially cookies. One thing I rarely do is modify desserts though. Sometimes they just taste better the way they are supposed to be made
My favorite family cooking traditions
I come from a family of good cooks. When we find a recipe that we like, we modify the ingredients it to make it our own.
My cooking triumphs
My tacos are to die for!
My cooking tragedies
I put drumsticks in a crockpot with BBQ sauce and set it on low for 6+ hours. It came out horrible and I had to throw them all out. Will never put drumsticks in a crockpot again though.

Honey Baked Chicken
With a little tweaking, this was a great recipe. I did add some fresh garlic as some other reviewers suggested.I also used spicy brown mustard, and added a little extra to taste than what the recipe called for. I also think the cooking time was a bit too long. I cooked mine at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes and it came out great! I will def make again though.

Buttery Soft Pretzels
These are amazing! I cut the recipe in half and for the 2 1/2 cups of flour, I used 1 1/2 cups of unbleached all purpose flour and 1 cups of whole wheat flour. These were so delicious that I wish I had made the full batch!

Bread and Celery Stuffing
This is a great recipe, however i did modify it a bit. I used whole wheat slices of bread instead of white bread, and in order to dry them out faster, I put them in the oven while the turkey was cooking (i do not stuff my turkeys). And instead of using 2 t. of poultry seasoning, I used 1 t. of sage and 1 t of poultry seasoning. I will def make this again!
