Baked Salmon II

I made this for dinner tonight. My 11yr old son said that it was super good. I rarely make anything exactly as the recipe is written. In making this recipe I made the following changes. I used 3 tbs oil and 1 tbs butter, abt 3/4 tsp salt, and added abt 1/4 tsp thyme. I rubbed a small amt of brown sugar on each fillet (on one side)b/4 pouring the marinade over it in a glass baking dish,placed a slice of lemon on each fillet, covered with foil, refrigerated for 1 hour and then baked. Yummy!

Green Pepper Pork Chops

If you make this recipe as instructed you have a very tasteless dish, in my opinion. With revisions you can have a 4 star recipe. First season your chops and brown them. The flavor from the green peppers is not enuough to flavor your meat. Add your favorite spices and herbs. I added a beef & chicken bouillon cube and herbs. I ended up with a flavorful dish (chops not as tender as I wanted them to be) but it took some work.

Cream Cheese Pound Cake II

I made this cake for my neighbors retirement party. It was delicious and moist. I used 3 sticks of butter, decreased the sugar to 3 cups and used vanilla extract instead of butter. I will definitely prepare again. I will use two extracts next time for even more flavor.
