About this Cook
Hi! I'm a 25 year old stay at home mom to a wonderful 4 year old daughter and am married to the most handsome and sweet man in the whole world! I absolutely love to cook (it's my passion) and after a few more kids would love to attend culinary school and make a career of it. I love to cook as openly and adventurous as possible (or as my family will allow). I'm trying to get my slightly picky husband to open up more to exotic foods...one day I'll break him ;) I love to cook as fresh and healthy as possible so I shop weekly at the local farmers market and buy the freshest produce and meats. I can't wait to share my recipes here and try yours!
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Thai and Asian cuisine. I also love to cook seafood (even though it can be tricky for me for some reason) and just plain old comfort food as well...steak and potatoes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
There was really none...I don't think anyone in my family is as interested in cooking as I am...not saying that they didn't cook well. Thanksgiving and Christmas has always been delicious so I give them that!! I plan on making some real cooking traditions of my own though!
My cooking triumphs
Anytime I can cook a meal and get my husband to say, "man, this is better than my moms!"
My cooking tragedies
None too tragic yet, but I still have plenty of time for some!

Raspberry Lemon Muffins
These were pretty good...I wouldnt call them the greatest muffin ever. My daughter didn't really care for them, but had fun making them with me. I'll make again but change a few things.

Sweet and Spicy Pork and Napa Cabbage Stir-Fry with Spicy Noodles
This woulda been perfect with a little less sesame oil. A little too much for me. I did use spicy chili sauce (we love spice) and I also used whole wheat spaghetti (all I had).

Basil Chicken over Angel Hair
This was alright. I would have liked some heat, maybe some red pepper flakes or something. I did mine with whole wheat pasta. This just didn't live up to all the reviews.
