About this Cook
I think one of my favorite things to do is cook. I love to find new recipes and try them out. I have an amazing husband and gorgeous son.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Italian food. I love to try new recipes and I love to share them w/ friends. I love for the food I cook to taste gourmet, or from a really good restaurant.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas time is the best time to make treats for friends and family. My sister and I love to make a candy shop in my kitchen and make tons of goodies to give to loved ones.
My cooking triumphs
Every time I try a new recipe and it tastes wonderful.
My cooking tragedies
I haven't really had any.

Macaroni and Cheese V
This recipe was pretty good. I thought a whole onion was too much and added less than half, it was still too strong. My little guy didn't like it much and he loves mac and cheese. I used 1 1/2 cups colby jack cheese and another half cup of 3 cheese italian blend and parmesan that I had on hand. I also did not have dry mustard and it didn't seem to affect the overall taste. I will make this again but will omit the onions.

Apple Crisp III
This apple crisp was so delicious, and easy! I did substitute half a cup of the white sugar for brown sugar as someone previously suggested and it was very tasty. I used jonagold apples which were a little tart and tasted wonderful in this dish. It was perfect and I plan to whip it up whenever I feel like because it was just so easy.

Newport Clam Chowder
This chowder was very good. I did change a few things though. I added bacon and only 2 tablespoons of butter instead of a half cup. I added two cans of chicken broth and filled one of the empty cans with half and half and that was plenty of liquid. I used two cans of minced clams in the juice and half a bottle of clam juice. This was very good and I will make it again!
