Little Miss Emma's First Halloween
About this Cook
I am a disabled stay at home grandma. Right now, my daughter, who is in nursing school, and my 3 year old grandson, Dante, are staying with my BF and I until she finishes school. While it has it's challenges, having them here has been great fun. BF and I have been together going on 5 years. He is the absolute love of my life.
My favorite things to cook
I am absolutely obsessed with baking, which I do everyday. Family and friends keep begging me to stop because everyone around me is putting on weight. And I have recently started trying more new main dish recipes that have turned out well for the most part. I just got tired of making the same dinners week after week.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Doing the holiday cookie thing. But more recently, I started baking with my grandson...what great fun. He knows where I keep my KA mixer and will go to the cabinet, open it, and say Mamahh (his version of grandma) can we cook? How could I say no to that? We spend truly quality time together baking, and he loves helping to wash the dishes after we have finished. He will make some lucky lady a great husband someday. LOL
My cooking triumphs
Some of you remember my incredible cake save. But, seriously, anytime I master a new recipe or technique is a cooking triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Homemade tortillas that were more like hockey pucks or frisbees, and my Tres Leche cake that really tasted like a soggy sponge. I guess that is what keeps me going, I have more triumphs than tragedies.

Chocolate Cornstarch Pudding
Just like Grandma used to make. Full of flavor and very creamy. I made a double batch and I am glad I did, it is disappearing fast. And very easy to make. No more pudding from a box for me,this is so much better. Thanks for a great recipe. God Bless.

Lentil and Sausage Soup
This is so good and easy to prepare. The only change I made was to use all chicken stock and no water. This is so delicious I ate some for breakfast.
