I live in a beautiful lake-resort community in Pennsylvania with my husband and our black lab. We are extremely happy here and I am currently not working since I recently resigned from my job in sales and now have lots of time to try my hand at cooking. It's been fun although I will have to go back to work here shortly. I don't really have any but hope to build them as I grow into cooking. I wish I had learned how my mother made some things before she died. So far, they have been things I have made from this website. It is so great having the ability to see how recipes can be modified from experienced cooks since I am so new to this. I think my best recipes have been the chicken pot pie and the chicken cordon bleu. They both turned out excellent. Although, not a total loss, I took the advice from many cooks during a Thanksgiving meal with my mother to cook the turkey upside-down on its breasts. Well, I figured I needed to turn it right-side-up again before it was finished cooking and I dropped the entire thing...pan and all. It was everywhere. Thankfully, though, I didn't sustain any burns; that could have been really tragic.
