About this Cook
I am a stay at home mother of Four wonderful children. My handsome husband and I live in a small town in Ontario, canada. I try to cook home made meals from scratch for my family daily. I feel that It is very important for us to sit down at dinner time as a family. That way we can share our days journey. we live such rushed lives that dinner time is our time to connect. I have tried to switch our food to organic, but where I live there is not much selection. What Organic food I do find I buy... Lets see what else I can say about myself..... to be countiued....
My favorite things to cook
I can't say what my favourite things to cook is....... its all good
My favorite family cooking traditions
I bake with my girls every Christmas.. we make Candy cane Bark YUMMY..Every Christmas morning we have overnight french toast, its a great recipe cause you prepare it the night before, and while the kids open up their gifts it bakes. The kids love it.Halloween, carmel apples and cookies and what nots shaped as ghosts ect... we have something we do pretty much every holiday. Jell-o jiggler easter eggs, and every year we allways try something new...
My cooking triumphs
Any time I cook a new recipe that my family loves. oh ya when I cook my mother-inlaws recipes better then her LOL I am joking about that.
My cooking tragedies
I was making cupcakes for my daughters birthday, when it was time to put the batter in the oven, I caught the edge of the tray on the oven rack. Which resulted in the tray tipping and neddless to say I had a hudge mess to clean out of my oven. The second one I can remeber is that I added baking soda to my recipe, when it called for baking powder. OMG was it ever gross and the baking was for company and no one had it in their hearts to tell me.

Easy Turkey Gravy
I am not a good gravy maker, but this recipe turned out great!!! I didn't have drippings from a turkey. ( I deep fry my turkeys, highly recomend. the turkey is never dry just nice and juicy) so I used chicken broth which worked fine. the gravy was very creamy and indeed had a nice flavour to it.......... I will use this recipe again........ thank you
