About this Cook
I love trying to cook new things and I'm trying not to repeat recipes yet (got married in November and don't want him to get sick of my cooking already). :-) I'm enjoying searching for ingredients in the grocery store that I've never heard of before, and using all my new kitchen appliances/tools!
My favorite things to cook
Mushrooms, rice, soups, anything with a sauce for dipping
My cooking tragedies
It took me 3 tries to make guacamole - I kept messing it up because I couldn't mash the avocado. I finally figured out not to refrigerate it!

Banana Crumb Muffins
I used a little nutmeg and cinnamon and vanilla extract in the batter, like one of the suggestions said. Plus I used more brown sugar in the topping and 2T butter. They were delicious and my husband LOVES them! He never gives anything 5 stars and this was a quick "5!" from him. :-)

Pizza Casserole
I used sliced pepperoni and added mushrooms. It was pretty good - my husband asked for it again.

Italian Sausage Soup
This was delicious - even in May! I used a little extra broth, double the garlic, and added some chopped mushrooms. Very tasty!
