About this Cook
My base is in Stockholm, Sweden but I have lived in both the US. and Italy. I love Italina cusine and American sweets! I work alot and live by myself so I always have a bunch of leftovers in the fridge!
My favorite things to cook
Desserts!!!!! I love bakeing and make cookies and cakes for my work all the time.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas start early in Sweden. Advent starts 4 weeks before Christmas Eve and from that day it is all about cooking, bakeing, drinking and eating. I love it!
My cooking triumphs
I did an internship at a fairly large company and at the end of my stat there I baked a chocolate pavolova which everyone loved. 80 people asked me for the recipe and I had to send a big massemail to everyone at the company with it.
My cooking tragedies
I've had plenty! But that is how you learned. I remember makeing salmon on saltbed (Swedish recipe) just that all the salt ended up ON the salmon instead of under it. Everyone ate to be polite but my sister said the other day (4 years later) that it really tasted horrible.

Chocolate Dipped Mocha Rounds
These were ok but they didn't have any special "wow"-feeling to them and honestly - quite boring!

Picnic Bars
These turned out very good! A little bit to rich for my taste but definetly a keeper. I would add more nuts on the top in the future but other than that they were a hit!

Red Velvet Cake IV
I had this cake when I lived in the States a few years back (I'm a native European) and I absoultely loved it. So I was excited to find a recipe that didn't call for cake mix. So I made this for me and my sisters birthday and it did taste ok. Very rich though. However it was quite messy to make and terrible to frost. It just crumbeld and there wasn't enough frosting to do the whole cake. I ended up useing whipped cream on the outside. I also had to leave the cake in the oven for about 20 min. more than the recipe called for. However, everyone liked the cake and it did taste fine.
