26yrs old, living with my boyfriend of 3yrs, extremely happy. Been baking since I was really little and cooking meals since I was 14 for my family. I loved it and used to pretend I was a TV chef :-)!
My favorite things to cook
Absolutely anything, will try everything once at least.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mum wasn't a great cook but was a good baker. I always helped when she made apple pies. My grandad however was an amazing cook/baker and so I learnt a lot from watching him. Croxy Park Cake was his legacy and crispy roast potatoes!!
My cooking triumphs
Valentines Day this year, I was very broke and so couldn't afford a gift. So I bought a few offcuts of material and made our living room into a bedouin tent, with loads of cushions and pillows to sit on. I made a aubergine and honey starter and lobster(frozen one mum bought us for christmas in a food hamper she made us), morocaccan lamb tagine with cous cous and moroccan homemade bread. My biggest triumph yet!
My cooking tragedies
Once did stuffed trout fillets when I was about 16 copying a recipe on Ready Steady Cook and they where horrific!! We chucked them out and got a take away.
