About this Cook
My favorite things to cook
I love baking over cooking to be specific. :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making treats for our Christmas morning brunches we have with our relatives.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I made a lemon meringue pie. It actually turned out pretty decently.
My cooking tragedies
My cooking tragedy was when I was making a chocolate layer cake. I was making the frosting for the middle of it, and I had to add egg to the mixure cooking on the stove. Well, needless to say I ended up cooking the egg on the mixture so my cake ended up having little bits of egg white all throughout the cake. It still tasted good, but texturally it was a little odd.

Fresh Strawberry Pie I
This was an awesome recipe!!! The only thing I would change, like other reviewers, is to cut back a little on the sugar. I LOVE sweet things, and even though it didn't taste bad in the least, it was just a tad much. I even used sugar free jello, but I probably would cut the sugar back to maybe a 1/2 C. I also used a homemade gram cracker crust. I used 1 package of gram crackers, 1/2 cup of ground walnuts, 1/3 C. Sugar, cinnamon to taste, and 6 tablespoons of melted butter. There might have been some salt in there somewhere too, but I can't remember. Mmmmmmmm. . . Goooooood!!!!!!

Aunt Anne's Coffee Cake
Very good recipe. Nice flavor, and fluffy "cake" part. I would make again.
