Who da thunk!?! Lil’ ole me, minding my own business in the chilled air of the Midwest contemplating what to serve over the Christmas Holiday, getting and offering ideas on the Buzz, when “You’ve got mail!” (does that really happen anymore??).  “We know you are new to the AllStar Program but… MORE

About this Cook
If I don't have a golf club in my hand, my next favorite thing would be a long pair of BBQ tongs!I do as much prep work and salad making as I can so dinners are easy to throw on the grill when we come off the course or the lake.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy adjusting to the seasons. Love preparing fresh vegetables and meats for the grill in the spring & summer. In the fall I'll turn on a football game and spend a Sunday in the kitchen making a big pot of something comforting or stocking the freezer. I don't bake much but enjoy a flour-fest in the kitchen once in a while!
My favorite family cooking traditions
We have a blended family so traditions have been redefined. I love to put on a nice brunch so the "kids" don't feel like they have to eat twice or juggle their schedules each year to fit dinner schedules.
My cooking triumphs
Any meal the family says out loud they like is a triumph in my book!
My cooking tragedies
I'm infamous for leaving something in the fridge, oven, or grill. Mashed Potatoes for dessert anyone?!? ;)

Roasted Vegetable Orzo
This is really good and a nice accompaniment to any grilled meat! It is very colorful and well presented. I browned 1 cup orzo in 2 T butter for a toastier flavor, added 14oz chicken broth, bring to boil, cover and reduce to simmer 15-20 minutes. So easy to combine everything at the end. Thank you, Michelle!

Chili Rubbed Pork Tenderloin With Apricot Ginger Glaze
This was extremely good and adding it to my list of nice things to grill for company this summer. I used a home rub just slightly different because my husband can not have powdered garlic. The glaze is wonderful! I used the leftover pork, glaze and BBQ sauce to make pulled pork sandwiches. Grill once, eat twice!! Thank you!

Honey Cashew Green Beans
We really enjoyed this. I melted the butter and honey ahead of time and just set it on a warm burner for a second before pouring it over the beans. I had roasted pecans on hand, so that is what I used. This is a winner in my book and I will definitely make this again. Thank you!
