Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Really good! I made the recipe as is. I think it needs a bit more seasoning and a couple more garlic cloves. Definitely will do this again.

McCormick® Stuffed French Toast

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2010
This was excellent! I did make some modifications. Our family prefers strawberry, I used Smuckers Strawberry Simply Fruit. I used regular cream cheese and let it soften at room temp, then used mixer to whip it. Also, the night before, I sliced up a 16 oz container of strawberries and added a tablespoon of sugar. This morning, they were soft with a nice juice to top the french toast. My family and my guests LOVED it! I will definitely do this again.

Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2010
My 7 yo rated this at this point, because I am fasting. He loved it; he told me it was not too sweet, which is exactly how he likes it. Only things I changed was reducing baking powder to 1 1/4 teaspoons and only had 1 egg. They certainly smelled good. He also loved the cake-like texture. I will now use this to use up my old bananas occasionally instead of my banana bread recipe. Thank you!

Easy Vegan Whole Grain Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2009
My 7 year old and I went Vegan recently, so I have to relearn many things including making pancakes. These were better tasting than regular pancakes! I used whole wheat flour, rice milk, and raw sugar. I must comment that white sugar is NOT vegan. This recipe will be used often!

Garlic Shrimp Pasta

I really can not rate the actual recipe as is, I have made this 4 times and all 4 times I have made it based on CHEFSINGLEDAD's advice. I would never boil shrimp and do not even own a microwave. Based on his advice I give it 5 stars!

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 29, 2009
UPDATE 9/22/09 Made these a second time. They are so amazing! The only thing changed was using butter and use honey peanut butter. This is a great recipe! Will keep using! ORIGINAL 7/31/09: Wow! The taste is amazing! The two things we changed was using Land O' Lakes butter with olive oil instead of the margarine and Peter Pan honey peanut butter instead of regular. Our cookies were big, but still came out very yummy! This has a very good peanut butter taste. This is a keeper! Thank you.

All-Around Good Smoothie

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2009
UPDATED: Being inspired by this recipe I did some experimenting and made my own recipe, and am waiting for it to be published. This is a great starter recipe, thank you! ORIGINAL:I loved this! I will be making this every morning. My 7 year old son loved it too. I normally like to do the recipe exactly as it is written the first time around, but could not with this recipe. I substituted plain rice milk for the milk. I used raw honey instead of regular honey. I used 1/4 cup of yogurt as we limit our dairy intake. For protein powder, I used unflavored whey protein isolate I had on hand from baking homemade bread. I also added a small hand full of ice cubes. This was awesome! Tastes just like the $5 smoothies I get at the smoothie place.

Black Beans 'N' Rice

My 6 year old liked the taste of this, except he said it was too spicy and he loves spicy food. Will tone down the spice next time. Like some other reviewers recommended, I took about a cup out and mashed.

Pasta Pizzaz

My 6 year old loved this! It smelled so good while cooking it. I am fasting so this will be a something to eat when I am finished. We made a couple changes. I used all organic ingredients, used 2 tomatoes and 3 cloves of garlic. We are trying to do more meatless dinners and this recipe definitely helps with that!

Honey Garlic Ribs

We did not really care for the taste. I make a lot of dishes using honey, but not sure why this one was not to our liking. I did this in the crockpot, so that may be why. Will try it one more time in the oven and see what happens and update when we do.

Zesty Slow Cooker Chicken Barbecue

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2008
OMG! This was so delicious according to my son and the others who ate it. I did not get to try it (juice fasting), but will make it when I am able to try it. I did it with frozen chicken legs and thighs and it came out soooooo tender. Some ate it with bread and some put it over jasmine rice. I will definitely be making this regularly! Thank you!

Yummy! I was skeptical about this recipe, but the ribs came out so yummy and tender. There was not enough for everyone. For BBQ Sauce I use two, 3/4 Jack Daniels Hickory Brown Sugar and 1/4 Kraft Honey Hickory.

Creamy Strawberry Crepes

Reviewed: May 12, 2008
I grew up on strawberry crepes but do not make them very often. Decided to try this recipe as I make myself strawberry crepes for Mother's Day. This was delicious! I love sweets and these were perfect with a glass of milk. I will be making crepes more often now that I have this recipe!
