Brown Sugar Smokies

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
I got so many raves about this recipe! They are easy to make and taste so good. My husband and I made them the night before and soaked them in brown sugar overnight that was fun to do that with the hubby! I cooked mine in the crock pot until the bacon was done and throughout the day was adding brown sugar to the and giving them a little stir. yum!

Raspberry and Almond Shortbread Thumbprints

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
I was looking for a thumbprint recipe and these are so delicious! I ended up putting them in the fridge for 15 mins (or until firm) before popping them in the oven. Came out perfectly shaped! My first batch I tried adding the egg and the 1/4 C extra flour and it came out tasting more like flour than almond. So I recommend sticking to the recipe exactly except refrigerating them for 15 mins (with the jam/preserves in place) then putting them straight into the oven.

This recipe is EXCELLENT! My husband and Father-in-law both said they'd have that over store bought any day! My husband isn't one for sweets but this he says is "bad" (meaning soooo good in his vocab). Thanks for sharing!

Simply fantastic!! My husband and I absolutely love this recipe!! I followed another reviewer's advise and marinated the chicken in the taco seasoning and 2/3 cup water for a couple hours before cooking. Comes out so juicy and SO FLAVORFUL!! Thank you for sharing this recipe!!
