About this Cook
Am the proud mother of two beautiful daughters. One very handsom son, who is serving his country in the United States Army, I am very proud of him! In Nov. of 2008 I became the grandmother of two very precious grandaughters, born eight days apart! How lucky am I?
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook what I call like to call "old fashion way". Like Sunday dinner at Grandma's house, but healthier.
My favorite family cooking traditions
OH!! Holidays!! They have to be tradional in my house. Each holiday has it's own special meal. No changing nothing. Maybe, and thats a big maybe, I will try a new side dish!
My cooking triumphs
I learned how to cook on my own, and cooking shows helped alot!:) When I finally learned to use spices it all came together for me. favorite things to use in my cooking, garlic, onion, olive oil.
My cooking tragedies
First time I made chili for my husband shortly after we were married. HA! HA! We could not eat it!!! Was terrible. In 28 yrs, I have become an excellent cook!! But even the excellent cooks still make a mistakes every so often, keeps us grounded!:)

Chicken with Garlic, Basil, and Parsley
This was very good. Followed the recipe except I used canned diced tomatoes, and minced garlic. Take some help from the store, minced garlic a big time saver. I mixed part of the spices and garlic with the tomatoes before putting on top of chicken. Very moist chicken. A Big hit with the husband!

Baked Parmesan-Crusted Chicken
Family loved the chicken! I even forgot to put the parmesan in the bread crumb mixture. Family still loved it. Chicken was very moist, my chicken is usually dry. This was very good. Daughter even took left overs to school for her lunch. She told me that this recipe is a keeper, and make it again soon. I am making it again, this time I won't forget the parmesan cheese. The family will love it even more!
