About this Cook
Food service manager that loves to dabble in my own kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
Anything slow cooked (BBQ, grill, crack pot, dutch oven)
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making my mom's meals that I grew up with while creating my own family meal traditions.
My cooking triumphs
BBQ meals.....ribs, chiken, burgers, steaks, chops, fish. Copying my mom's recipes as close as I can. Improving my mother-in-laws recipes so that we can include them in our meal traditions. :)
My cooking tragedies
I am a messy cook. Looks like a food fight happened after I cook.

Mango Chicken Curry
I substituted the tomato paste with red curry paste. The more curry the better :) And I substituted the fresh mango with mango chutney. I also added a little chicken stock to make the sauce more liquid. YUM

Cherry Cola Chicken
Sweet and sticky and flavorful. I also tried it by substituting honey for the grape jelly and loved it. Colas are a great BBQ sauce ingredient. I recommend Dr. Pepper too.
