Me and my children
About this Cook
I am a 40 something mother of 9 year old triplets (boy/girl/girl) and work part-time out of the house.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake cookies and make cheesecakes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My grandmother used to make pierogies and I would love to get together with my mother and sister to make them again. I guess making spaghetti sauce would be something my mother and I share.
My cooking triumphs
I don't remember any triumphs. Any meal that I make that my children will eat is a triumph. My favorite receipe is something I doctored up with smoked mozzarella and hot Italian sausage over farfalle pasta.
My cooking tragedies
The only thing I can remember (there were many) is the veggie lasagna I made. The onions are supposed to be sauteed and made into the white sauce. I accidentally added the raw chopped onions in with the spinach filling. Very oniony!

Grilled Tilapia with Mango Salsa
Wonderful recipe! I followed the recipe exactly except I left out the cilantro (my husband and I don't like it). I am normally not a fish eater but this recipe was incredibly delicious. Thank you, Witzken!

Asiago Sun-Dried Tomato Pasta
This was incredibly delicious! I tried to make it exactly as posted; however, I only had about half a cup of sundried tomatoes packed in oil and I messed up with the chicken (didn't realize it had to be precooked). In any event, I cooked the cubed chicken with the onions in butter before adding the green onions and cream. It was definitely worth the effort. Kids loved it and husband had seconds and thirds. We are still enjoying leftovers in the office.
