About this Cook
Words that can describe me: kooky, controlling, fun, spontaneous, efficient, procrastinating, constantly changing, caring. I love cooking, watching TV, reading, playing games, hanging out with friends, having parties, and going to the beach.
My favorite things to cook
I love baking and cooking more homestyle type foods. I love Southern food! I am constantly in search of the good fried chicken and buffalo wing recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom usually cooks Korean food for me when I go home to visit. We make kim baps (they are Korean rolls) and mandu (Korean dumplings). The mandu are traditional to make for the new year. Since I got married, my husband's mom fixes all kinds of yummy food at the holidays including fried cauliflower and a dozen different cookies.
My cooking triumphs
I made my first delicious standing rib roast using the Barefoot Contessa method and my friend who was over for dinner declared it was better than the prime rib she had at a local Lawry's-owned restaurant. Not my recipe, but it worked!
My cooking tragedies
I made a turkey for Thanksgiving and only figured out three days later (when picking the carcass for leftovers) that I didn't take the giblets out! They were hiding under the neck flap! Who knew??

Garlic-Lemon Double Stuffed Chicken
This recipe was excellent! My husband doesn't care for chicken, so I'm always trying new ways of fixing it. Well, you know what they say, cheese makes everything taste better! I butterflied the chicken breasts as directed in the recipe (rather than rolling as suggested by other reviewers) and it worked fine. Some cheese melted out, but not that much. I did take the suggestion of reducing the amount of cream cheese. I reduced it by about a quarter, but I think half would be better next time. I served this with pasta and we ended up cutting up our chicken breasts into bite size pieces and mixing it with the pasta. On top of the pasta, I just had a mixture of melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic and dried basil. It was delicious! I will definitely make this again. It takes a little prepping, but it's worth it.

Spicy Garlic Lime Chicken
I loved this chicken! It was very easy to make. I used bottled key lime juice and pre-minced, bottled garlic. We had an extra breast and it tasted great sliced up on a salad the next day!

Sweet Spicy Wings
These are very tasty wings. I didn't adjust the recipe at all. What's surprising is that they aren't very spicy, considering you use a whole bottle of hot sauce! I guess the honey really tones it down. I love spicy food, so I'd probably prefer making buffalo wings, but I really like that these because they are grilled vs. fried. I made these wings and buffalo wings for a Monday Night Football game. The buffalo wings were a bit more popular (due to the spicy factor), but both were good because they were grilled! I originally made these wings because I had a friend with a 6 year old son and I wasn't sure if he could eat spicy food. He loved them!
