About this Cook
I am in my late 30's, married, two young children and work full-time as an administrative assistant. My husband and I grew up in Kansas but moved to Missouri shortly after getting married.
My favorite things to cook
My family loves chicken & pasta dishes the best. I like Crockpot recipes because the meat is always so tender. Cooking is a lot of fun and something my kids & I can do together!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Teaching my children some basic cooking (away from the stove) and Holiday cooking with my mother.
My cooking triumphs
Slow cooker recipes, casseroles, dips, pasta dishes, baking, most chicken recipes, cakes and pies.
My cooking tragedies
Can't top my father-n-law's chili or my grandmother's pancakes. I also cannot cook a tender steak.

Egg Noodles
These noodles are very good. They turned out thicker than I thought they would be but that could be the cook as this is only my 3rd time making noodles from scratch. These are better than the frozen egg noodles you buy in the store but not as good as my grandma's noodles.

Deviled Eggs
Made exactly as written. This is a good recipe but too salty for our taste. Will make again with less salt.

Chili Rellenos Casserole
I got a similiar recipe from a coworker several years ago and have been making it ever since. This is a wonderful recipe that is on my family's favorite list. My changes: my family prefers diced chili's instead of the whole ones. Also, I use 3 eggs instead of 2, 1 cup whole milk in addition to the canned milk and a can mild enchilada sauce instead of the tomato sauce. Overall, a great recipe!
