Very good and easy! I scaled it down to one serving and used 2 strawberries and it was perfect!

The Real Mojito

Reviewed: May 1, 2009
This is so good and really easy! We have spearmint, the best mint, and peppermint in our herb garden, so I used all of them! It came out really good, but my leaves were small so I added more than 10!

Glazed Cinnamon Biscuits

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2009
This was very good and very easy! I do think the batter needs a little more milk, and adding sugar to the dough wouldn't be a bad idea either! I used the cream cheese frosting II from this site! It was very good!

Deep-Dish Blackberry Pie

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2009
This was VERY good! It wasn't too sweet which I like, but we used somewhat under-ripe berries! I used an 8x8 pan and it was really thin.. so I'm not sure why it is called deep dish pie! I will definitely make this again!

Buttercream Icing

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2009
This recipe was so easy! It worked perfectly for the cupcakes I was making for an easter party! I piped the icing on using a metal tip and a plastic freezer bag! Being able to throw away the bag made it a lot easier. I made 2 batches and could ice around 50 cupcakes! Thanks for a really good, and easy recipe!!

Bake Sale Lemon Bars

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2009
I used the recipe as stated, except I doubled the lemon filling ingredients! I overcooked mine by about 3 minutes, and the edges got too chewy and caramelized. So if you double the filling using the original recipe, watch it closely. I baked it at 350 (for the filling) and 375 (for the crust). Other than the chewy edges, these were really good!

We made this twice, both times it cracked horribly and had an odd taste. I will most likely not try this recipe again after the failed attempts....

Colored Sugar

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2009
I did this to make pink sugar for some valentines cookies and it worked really well! I just put it in a plastic bag and worked with it until it was a uniform color!! Thank you for the recipe, I had no idea how easy it was to color sugar!!

We made this pie exactly as written and it is really good! Beware of "overflows" and put a sheet pan under the pie!!

Raspberry Lemon Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2009
These were really good and not too sweet, which I really like! I added either blackberries or raspberries to the top of a couple muffins and they look fabulous! A few of mine were not cooked all the way, even though I left them in for 15 minutes... however, I ate them anyway! I calculated and they are 4 weight watchers points each!! A perfect breakfast!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
These are very good! I used buttermilk instead of regular milk and brown sugar in the topping opposed to white sugar. The topping made 5 times what you need. At least reduce the topping ingredients by half. Thanks for a really good recipe!

Banana Muffins with a Crunch

Reviewed: Jan. 5, 2009
These are really good! Follow the advice of other reviewers and add the ingredients in the correct order! (dry, butter, wet, add-ins). I put a streusel topping on half (streusel from "banana streusel muffins" from this site!). If you decide to use that streusel, do not add the cinnamon. I liked it, but others might not! It made more than 24 large (not jumbo) muffins for me! I will make again and add the coconut which I was out of this time!

Spinach and Pine Nuts

Reviewed: Dec. 30, 2008
This was really good, I even forgot to toast my pine nuts which I'm sure would have made it much better! I only suggest adding a bit of fresh nutmeg, it gives it a little something extra!

Red Velvet Cupcakes

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
I hate to give this 4 stars, but something went wrong with my batch. Maybe I didn't mix them long enough, i mixed until "just blended" like it said. One of the cupcakes (I guess) was not mixed enough and ended up almost exploding all over the pan, and turned a weird color and had a weird taste. However, I am sure It was my mistake!! I did manage to salvage that cupcake and made it my "tester" once i cut away the weird dark colored parts. I would definitely make this again and try to figure out what I did wrong! They are really good with cream cheese frosting II from this site (the one with more reviews b/c I noticed there were two)!

Cream Cheese Mints

Reviewed: Dec. 29, 2008
These were very easy and really good! I couldn't stop eating the dough! I had to add more powdered sugar and a lot more peppermint oil!! My bottle said to add 1/4 teaspoon for every cup of ingredients. I used 4 oz. cream cheese and 4 cups powdered sugar (plus some added later), and used a teaspoon or more of oil! even though this sounds like a lot, they still barely had a peppermint taste! They still taste great though! I used the rope and cute method which worked well! Thanks for the suggestion! I highly recommend this recipe! The different oil/color combinations are endless!

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
This recipe is amazing! It tastes very "powder sugary" until it dries, then it is perfection! I did have to add more milk! I would suggest making a couple batches if you have more than a dozen cookies. My cookie recipe makes 24, and I doubled the icing and still ran out! (Of course, mine could have been too thick, I wasn't sure how "thin" it was supposed to be.)

Holiday Milk Punch: the New Eggnog

I make this with a few variations. I use bourbon instead of the whiskey and rum, and I use powdered sugar so its not grainy!! The nutmeg is what makes it delicious!
