About this Cook
Mother of 2 year old twins. Wife too. Rely on others recipes to feed my family. Trying to be a better cook. I am also a vegetarian, and always enjoy new ideas for recipes.
My favorite things to cook
I don't have any favorites yet. I don't really like to cook, so I'm hoping I will learn to, since I don't have a choice, and want to feed my family healthy.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't think I have any family cooking traditions. I guess I used to make tortillas with my grandma. I know my cousins helped her with the long process of tamales, but I lived too far away for that tradition.
My cooking triumphs
No true triumphs yet.
My cooking tragedies
A lot of tragedies. Bless my husband and kids for putting up with me. I did recently try to make oatmeal cookies, and I cooked them way too long, I read the wrong time. I also didn't put enough butter in them and they turned out to be little clumps of rocks. That was a tragedy.

Tomato Cucumber Salad with Mint
I loved the recipe. I know the mint is the important part, but I didn't have any. But it's still amazing. I did think that next time I will use 3 cucumbers instead of only 2. There is a lot more tomatoes than cucumbers. I love tomatoes but the cucumbers really soak up the taste and I love it.

Rosemary Carrots
I liked the recipe, although I used fresh rosemary, and I thought it gave it an intense, sort of spicy flavor. I added honey to my twin 2 year old boy's carrots. Otherwise next time I'll try dried rosemary, maybe then my kids will like it better.
