About this Cook
I'm 13 and I love to sing, run track, read, play piano and oh yeah...I bake and cook A LOT! I also am "Mom" to two feuding felines. You can contact me at cook330@gmail.com
My favorite things to cook
I have a family of carbohydrate fiends (me included)! I bake a loaf of bread or a batch of muffins every day and believe me it gets eaten. I try to make everything healthy though, that's probably the reason everyone in my family doesn't weigh 300 pounds.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I make some really yummy pies every Thanksgiving. I'm getting really hungry just thinking about them!
My cooking triumphs
I've had lots of cooking triumphs, and they are all 99% baked goods. That's what I'm good at.
My cooking tragedies
I tell you, this question is MEAN!!! I've had tons. Most recently it was chili that I got too carried away seasoning. It was horrible, and it was made with a pound of ground turkey from Whole Foods ("Whole Paycheck"). The turkey alone cost like seven bucks, not to mention the cans of organic kidney beans and natural salsa. I felt like such a fool.

Low-Fat Pumpkin Bread
SO yummy!! I reduced the sugar to just 1 cup and used 2 eggs instead of the egg subtitute. When I mixed the batter, it was extemely stiff, so I added 1/2 cup of apple juice to it and it and the bread turned out great. It rose nice and high, and I baked it in a 9x13 pan so I got 24 good-sized pieves out of it. Thanks!

Never Fail Applesauce Spice Cake
Pretty good but wayyy too much sugar. Even my Mom, a self-confessed sugar addict, deemed it a bit too sweet. I skipped the frosting and added raisins to the batter instead of walnuts. It's a nice moist cake, and very attractive too, especially when baked in a bundt pan.

Cranberry Nut Bread I
Very moist and yummy. I left out the orange zest because I didn't have any, but it still had a very pronounced orange flavor. A bit crumbly, but over all very good. Thanks!
