About this Cook
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family meets at Granny's house for Sunday dinner every week. She is in her mid-seventies and is ready for someone else to take over the tradition
My cooking tragedies
Warming taco shells in the toaster oven = Flames and lots of smoke!!

Cream Cheese Squares
I mistakenly poured the sugar and cinnamon into the melted margarine, but it still worked! When it first came out of the oven, it was a little runny. However, after cooling down, it is now easy to cut into perfect squares. My husband came back for seconds and thirds

Oatmeal and Everything Bars
I used fresh, pureed cherries in place of the caramel and chocolate chips. They are delicious! Any fruit could be substituted. I also covered with a Vanilla Glaze (recipe also on this website) to add a little more sweetness and also to help keep it from crumbling as much.

Chocolate Fudge Cookies
These are to die for! I also used Betty Crocker Super Moist Devil's Food Cake mix and a little more than 1/2 cup chocolate chips. The cookies literally melt in your mouth. Three days later and they are still moist and delicious!! These will satisfy your chocolate craving with just one cookie.
