This was good.I used round steak, substituted in tomato sauce instead of juice, and added a clove of garlic. Halfway thru the baking I stirred in some water so the sauce wouldn't go dry and burn. Next time though I will add the pepper to the sauce and not let my 8yr old pound it into meat. Lets just say one piece had some real zing to it. Hubby ate it anyway.

really good. Although, I substituted about half the ketchup with tomato sauce. Thought the ketchup taste might be strong if I didn't for the kids. I didnt measure exact -just squirted ketchup into measuring cup eyeballed it to half and topped off with tomato sauce. Everyone said it reminded them of childhood meals. A great comfort food.

Even the kids love this. The seasoning taste is not strong. My 8yr old daughter loved the dressing so much. She made me dice up the leftover salami and she just dipped it in the sides of the empty bowl. She said it tasted like ranch but didn't burn her throat like the nomal(bottled) ranch. I did add quartered cherry tomatoes to my husbands serving and he said it was the best I ever made. This recipe was a hit in our house.
