My husband says that my cooking is like a good wine, it gets better with age. I love cooking and I'm always looking for something new to try. My family and I love to watch cooking shows especially, Top Chef and Hell's Kitchen! I girls have learned a lot from these shows. Pasta dishes,soup's and I have few recipes that I enjoy making for my family when I can. Both of my parents could not cook, especially my mother! She was/is so bad she burns water! How do you burn water? Easy, you put a pot of water on and let it boil down to Nothing! My Dad did most of the cooking but he was an awful cook. The meats were always over done and his spaghetti sauce...he never put any tomato sauce in it, only paste! Probably the first time I made my mother in-laws "Rice Pudding"! It's made entirely from scratch! The first time I made Italian bread. I don't know what I did wrong but the outside was SO Hard I could have used a Hack Saw to cut it! But the inside was good. And the first time I tried to make a marble cake from scratch. It did not turn out the way I wanted it to and my guests complained that it was too sweet, event hough I followed the recipe.
