About this Cook
Hi Everyone! My name is Christina and I live in Pittsburgh (born and raised here) with my husband, Jim (we have been married for 12 years), my son Gabriel (he is 8), and our twin baby girls born June 22, 2011, Abby and Ally. I love cooking and sharing recipes and have a pretty extensive cookbook/recipe collection. I think my love of cooking comes from my mom and dad. We are definately a family that loves to cook (AND EAT!). I also enjoy watching hockey, LET'S GO PENS!, walking, crocheting and doing crafts. I am looking forward to meeting alot of new people here, and sharing tips and ideas.
My favorite things to cook
EVERYTHING! I love trying new things and we are not a picky family, so anything goes!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Just cook with love and patience. I am 1/2 Italian and 1/2 Lebanese, so we have tons of family traditions.
My cooking triumphs
When I was maybe 12 years old, I had a dinner party for some close neighbors and I made stuffed shrimp, homemade gnocchi with sauce, salad, homemade croissants and creme caramel for dessert. I was so proud of myself. When I cook and I can see the look of enjoyment on the people I am servings faces, that is a triumph all in itself.
My cooking tragedies
None that I can recall, LOL!

Zucchini with Egg
Nice! I only had 1 smallish zucchini, but I thought that was plenty w/o being too much. This had a nice, fresh flavor...great for breakfast! Thanks for sharing. :)

Tomato-Basil Salad
Beautiful looking salad and everyone LOVED it! I used a mix of regular basil and purple basil from my garden. The dressing ratio is spot on creating a perfect blend of flavors...a definite keeper~YUM! Thanks for sharing. :)

Amazing Cucumber Basil Salad
Made this for Recipe Group...This was tasty! I have to say that I actually liked this better maybe 10-15 minutes after I made it, lol. I think this would be great over grilled chicken or grilled pork chops too. A nice, healthy side! Thanks for sharing. :)
