About this Cook
Mom to two small kids; work full time in a demanding corporate job
My favorite things to cook
Definitely desserts!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Making dozens of different types of Christmas cookies. My mom has done this for years and her mother before her. I picked up the tradition about 7 years ago when I got married and had to figure out Christmas gifts for my husband's extended family.
My cooking triumphs
I've been very proud of the cakes I've made for family members and now my own children's birthdays. Many hours have been spent with a decorating tip and icing bag!
My cooking tragedies
Hosting one of my first dinners, I made filet mignon. The food turned out great. The tragedy was that my yellow lab thought it looked good too and gobbled up a few of them!

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches
AWESOME! So easy since the chicken goes in frozen. I used ranch salad dressing from the bottle since I didn't have dry mix and it came out so delicious and moist. The chicken practically fell apart. Yum!

Apple Crisp III
Took a very long time to bake. I had to up the temperature to get a golden brown crust. Very simple and tasty.
