About this Cook
I grew up in a family with two restaurants. I worked in several restaurants over the years and learned Italian from a MASTER chef. The only thing I never really learned was baking...I am learning to bake now and it is great fun. I enjoy cooking Italian, german, indian ,thai the most. Let me know if you want the worlds best eggplant parmesan recipe..I still have to enter my recipes to this site, but I have submitted a couple for ya'lls enjoyment.
My favorite things to cook
Thanksgiving turkey-every year I smoke it on my Weber grill with some mesquite chips. I smoke the stuffing too. YUUMMMMMMMMMM
My favorite family cooking traditions
The smoked Thanksgiving turkey has become a tradition as I have taught my boys how it is done.
My cooking triumphs
I have been proud of my fried chicken recipe since its inception, however, About a year ago I was watching a food show and the spotlighted a southern gentleman that before frying his chicken, he first boiled it with some selected seasonings. This was a huge revelation and I have done this ever since. I will post it for you all on my page..........keep checking
My cooking tragedies
Conquering a recipe and having nobody to gloat too..........sad......

Gobi Aloo (Indian Style Cauliflower with Potatoes)
This is a great recipe for gobi aloo. I doubled the spices because thats just how I am. Cook on with lid on and is shouldn't be dry. Add a little butter or extra oil at the end if it seems dry. I love this kind of food. I served with Saffron and Cilatro long grain rice.

San Francisco Sourdough Bread
It was great. Not as sour as I would have liked, but that was because my starter was only four days old. I will try it again next week when my starter has aged another week. But the flavor was great and it was easy to make by hand. I omitted the onions though, I just wanted plain old sourdough.

Honey Wheat Bread
Very good-next time I will add more honey, other than that I wouldn't change a thing. Thank you for the recipe easy and yummy!
