I really liked this recipe!! My only criticism is that there we we weren't enough spices. i added cloves but the measurements aren't strong enough for me. In most cases I am not a huge pie fan, I always find them too sweet and almost sickening but this was just sweet enough!!!! came out soooooo tasty!!! a huge hit with everyone! we also used a white pumpkin for this. I don't think that makes much of a difference but I thought I would add it.

Pastry for Double-Crust Pie

This recipe was perfect and really easy. I used for chicken pot pie. I ended up with not enough for the top layer though I might double it next time just to be sure I have enough.

Chicken Pot Pie IX

This was heaven!!!!!! everyone loved it! its alot of work but well worth it and not overly difficult. although the gravy was a little plain for me. Next time I might add some herbs to it.

Guacamole

This recipe is excellent!!!!! I am super picky about any type of salsa/guacamole. it has to be just right. 10 stars!!! I didnt even have any cilantro and it came out great. I added more cayenne pepper though!! next time I might try this with some chopped fresh tamatillo or pablano peppers and take out the cayenne.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies I

This was perfection!!!!! I would change nothing!!!! The only thing is the amount needs adjustment. I scaled the recipe to yield 72 and came out with 52. so those needing a certain amount should make the necessary adjustment to how ever many cookies they need.

Chewy Coconut Cookies

These were really really good. and really really easy which is always a nice thing. WAY TOO LITTLE VANILLA!!! if your over zealous with the vanilla extract like I am I increased this to 1 1/2 teaspoons!!. They also took 12 minutes to bake for me. The batter to these when its done mixing looks like you could get ten cookies out of it but to my surprise it went a long way.

Cream Puffs I

This recipe gets ten stars!!!! I have made this recipe several times and each time they come out better. Although I am surprised by some of the reviews about the puffs. Mine always rise and they arent fully hollow in the middle but I think that makes them even better. I use whole wheat pastry flour for both the custard and the puffs maybe that has something to do with it. If you dont like the grainy-ness of the whole wheat pastry flour give it a sift and you lose some of that texture!!!

Chocolate Sauce

This recipe is phenomenal. I read all the reviews about the consistency problems and went with on 1 cup of water. I panicked a little when it wasn't thickening but DON'T ALTER THE RECIPE!!! It thickens right up as it cools.just as another reviewer said. I let mine cool for a good 3 hours in the fridge and it was perfect. and I totally agree with the other reviewer that said Hershey gets no more of her money. this is a really easy recipe.

Melon with Raspberry Sauce

Szechwan Shrimp

This was really really good!!!! last minute and I needed something to do with shrimp and this was super easy!! I cooked some ramen noodles on the side and and put the shrimp and sauce on top . I also used about 1/4 tsp of cayenne pepper in place of the red pepper and sweet onion. really delicious!!

Homemade Vanilla Pudding

I give it a solid 4 stars. the starch clumped a little bit and took a really long time to thicken. I had to keep scraping the bottom of the saucepan. It was rich too. Really good as a simple desert.

Clone of a Cinnabon

OMGSH!!!!! Those were nothing short of ecstasy!!!! I have am gluten intolerant and haven't had a cinnamon bun in 4 years!!!! words cannot even explain. this recipe is absolutely everything that it is hyped up to be. I didn't use bread flour. I used only sifted whole wheat pastry flour. I also didn't use a bread machine and they came out great!!

Real Italian Calzones

This was great!!! absolutely delicious!!! I had trouble getting the dough to rise so after the 40 minutes I popped the bowl with the dough in an oven heated to 200 degrees for about another 30-40 minutes with the door opened slightly. it then doubled in size. I brushed with olive oil too. but all and all this a fantastic recipe. pretty easy too!

Best Chocolate Pound Cake

This was good. I expected more of a chocolate punch to it. The almond extract makes it a unique chocolate pound cake. the egg whites didn't peak for me though. and it was quite a lot of work. I used a bunt pan and it cooked for only 45 minutes. I made from scratch an almond whipped cream to go with it which paired nicely.

Black Bottom Cupcakes I

This was good. I wasn't sure what to expect because I haven't had them before. I didn't add as much of cream cheese mixture as the photo shows and they came out like a cream filled cupcake. I took the advice of a reviewer saying not to over mix, leave cream cheese out etc. but was definitely a good recipe.

Chicken Breasts with Balsamic Vinegar and Garlic

This was really really good!!I tweaked it a little bit though, I had no thyme (I no a sin. I don't know how that happened) so I used about a half a teaspoon of dried parsley flakes and a couple pinches of Italian-seasoning. I also found that two tablespoons of oil and two tablespoons of flour was not enough. after the chicken browned I ended using about a tablespoon more of oil. but overall it was hit!!

Chocolate Crinkles II

This was an excellent recipe. very much like a brownie more than cookie and well worth the effort of making them. I took someones advice in just greasing the cookie sheet and the came off beautifully. and I used only whole wheat pastry flour for a slightly more healthy and gluten free version and they came out great!

Whoopie Pies VIII

This was an excellent recipe! the first time my family and I had ever eaten a whoopie pie! as soon as the first few were done they were being eaten. very rich though. then again I used my own vanilla frosting recipe for the filling which could have made it more rich. delicious!!!
