Homemade Black Bean Veggie Burgers

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2009
Even my husband, who claims to dislike all kinds of veggie burgers, LOVES these. They are really good on a whole wheat bun with bbq sauce. I usually make at least a double recipe and freeze the individual patties.

Flourless Chocolate Cake I

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
If you want to go through very little effort and impress the pants off your guests, make this cake! It is very rich and anyone who is a chocolate lover will think it's amazing. I usually serve it with raspberry sauce and whip cream. I've never served it and not been asked for the recipe. Actually, people are usually surprise when I say I made it rather than buying it at an expensive bakery.

Fruited Curry Chicken Salad

This is my absolute new favorite sandwhich filling. The recipe is so versatile. I always just use what's on hand. I usually double the curry powder, but I love curry. Delicious!!

Microwave Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
I've made this several times now and it always come out perfectly. It is so easy doing it in the microwave and SO much cheaper than buying lemon curd in a jar. Try it with the simple scones from this site. YUMMY!!!

Simple Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2009
These are the absolute best scones! (And I've tried many!) I've made these for several showers and everyone always says they're the best scones they've had. I make them several days in advance and underbake them a little then freeze them once they're cool. Right before serving, I take them from the freezer, pop them in the oven for about 10 minutes, and they're perfect! LOVE THEM!!

Fluffy Whole Wheat Biscuits

We thought these were just okay. My family usually devours this type of thing, but I ended up throwing some out a few days later.

A-Number-1 Banana Cake

I made this for my son's first birthday party, and it was SO GOOD! I added chocolate chips and frosted with chocolate frosting (the recipe from the back of the Hershey's cocoa.) Everyone loved it!

Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies I

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
These are now my husband's very favorite cookies. They turn out chewy yet crisp...absolutely perfect! I made them at Christmas replacing half the chocolate chips with red and green m&m's. They were a huge hit at all the parties I brought them to.

Luau Punch

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2008
I've made this for several parties and it's always a big hit. I just now read that you're supposed to freeze it. I bet that would be even better, but just mixing everthing up and serving it works great, too!

Oh my goodness, these are SOOOO good! I followed the recipe exactly, but put them in the refrigerator overnight before letting them rise. I baked them Christmas morning and they turned out perfectly!!

Chocolate Peanut Butter Squares

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
These are so easy and so yummy! I didn't spread the mixture over the whole jellyroll pan so that they would come out a little thicker. A 9x13 probably would have been the perfect size. So, so, so good!!

Berry Shortbread Dreams

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2008
I made these to add to a cookie platter for Christmas and thought they were just okay. Mine ended up pretty flat and greasy. They are tender and have a good flavor but are not quite what I was expecting. All the other cookies on the platter were devoured before these were even touched. Maybe it was a chocolate loving crowd. =)

French Onion Dip From Scratch

Reviewed: Sep. 17, 2008
This was so yummy and a huge hit at our BBQ. I served it with potato chips and cut up veggies. I made it with cream cheese instead of mayo based on other reviews, and it ended up being really thick and hard to dip into, but it was really creamy. I think next time I'll do have mayo and half cream cheese. Thanks for the great recipe!

Soft Giant Pretzels

Oh my, these were so yummy! We ate them straight out of the oven with butter and salt. It was my first time making pretzels, and they weren't the prettiest things ever, but that didn't matter because they were gone within minutes. YUMMY!!!
