Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2009
WOW!!! Fabulous recipe!!! Love, love, love it!! Only changes I made were 2 packages of italian dressing mix, onion powder instead of salt and added 2 beef boulion cubes. Served it on steak rolls with roasted onions and bell peppers, topped with provolone cheese and put under broiler. YUMMY!!! It had so much flavor!! You have to make this, it's the best recipe I have found on this site so far!

Apple Crisp II

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2009
This was awesome! I never made apple crisp before, but I will be making it often now! I used granny smith apples and the only thing I changed was using half the amount of water (1/4 C) and adding a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon mixture. I love sweets, but it was a little too sweet, even for me, so next time I will use 1/2-3/4 cup of white sugar. Thanks for the post, I will be making this often!

The Best Potato Salad

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2009
I have never made potato salad before which is surprising because my husband & I love it. I decided to make this for a pot luck lunch at work and I was very nervous since I have never made it before. I made it the day before, and like another reviever said it tasted salty at first. After it sat overnight the salty taste was gone! I made my 16yr old daughter, who hates potato salad, try it the morning before I brought it to work. She protested, but tried it anyway. She LOVED it! She asked me not to bring it to work, lol! My husband also tried it and insisted I make some for home too! This was very easy and very tasty!! I will take the advice of another reviewer and try this with bacon ranch next time. Since I have a sweet tooth, I may try it with honey mustard instead of yellow mustard next time! Thanks for the post, this is my first and last potato salad recipe!

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
Very Good! I doubled the recipe to make 12 HUGE muffins! Make sure to spray entire pan with Pam including the top. Let them sit about 5 minutes before removing because the tops were coming off when I tried sooner than that. I will use half the topping next time, even with doubling this recipe there was a lot left over. Nice thick batter and my blueberries didn't sink. I've read some reviews that they were hard and or chewy, don't over mix the batter or this will happen with any blueberry muffin recipe. I also beat my egg with a fork before I put it in the measuring cup, makes for less mixing of the batter to ensure fluffy muffins.

Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
This is awesome! The first time i made it I followed the recipe exactly and it was too spicey for my family. The second time I made it I used a 2 1/2lb bag frozed chicken tenderloins, 1 bottle of Franks Wing Sauce, a whole packet of ranch, 1/4c butter and 2 8oz whipped cream cheese (to tone down the spice). I put the cream cheese and butter at the bottom of the crock pot, then put the chicken on top and poured the bottle of wing sauce over it along with the packet of ranch. My family LOVED it!! The cream cheese really toned down the spiceyness! We had this o n samdwichs and I bought Boboli pizza crust, brushed it with olive oil and fresh minced garlic, baked it for 10 minutes, then spread ranch dressing on crust, spead buffalo chicken on next and topped with mozz. cheese. That was fabulous!!!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2009
I make this dip using fresh chicken that I dice and fry with butter or olive oil Pam, garlic pepper and broiled steak seasoning by McCormick (fabulous on chicken). I use a full cup of Franks wing sauce and I use mozz. cheese. I serve this with tortilla chips and everyone raves about this dip where ever i bring it. It's always the first to go! I make it often at my house because everyone loves it and it's easy to make.

Beer Butt Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2009
WOW! This was awesome!! Entire family loved this, even my husband whom said he would not eat it while I was making it. He couldn't believe how much flavor it had. When I added the butter-spice mixture to the beer mine too fizzed out. I did read to use warm beer and this will not happen. I added a little lemon pepper to this spice mixture. I also added some lemon wedges into the neck of the chicken and put in some rosemary under the skin of the chicken. When I basted the chicken I basted under the skin as well. I also sprayed the beer can with Pam as suggested by others for easy removal when done. I cooked it in a pie glass baking dish on the grill. I have a charcoal grill so I can not control the heat. My 4 1/2lb bird cooked in 1 1/2 hours. I started testing the temp after 1 hour. The skin was crispy and full of flavor! The inside was super juicy and also full of flavor! Even the white meat. By far the best chicken I haave ever made. My husband, whom was skeptical, LOVED it!! I'm making this again this week!!

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
If I could give this 10 stars I would!! My husband & I loved it!! I didn't use sundried tomatoes only because we don't like them, so I added extra Roma tomatoes. I brushed the bread with olive oil, sprinkled with garlic powder, then put a slice of mozz. cheese on bread and baked at 400 for about 5 minutes. We added the tomatoe mixture after it came out of the oven. Fabulous recipe!! Thank you!!

Croutons

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
WOW! What a great fun recipe! My family loves croutons and now that I have made these I will never buy boxed again! I used butter spray and played with the seasonings. I experimented on about 7 different pieces of bread and we loved them all. You can really do anything with the seasonings on this. I will try next time with real butter, less healthy, but I'm sure they will be to die for. I also did not remove the crust, very tastey!!

Corned Beef and Cabbage

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
This was my first time making corned beef & cabbage. I took the suggestions of others and used 2 cups beer and 1 cup water. I used an almost 4lb corned beef and cooked it on low for about 10 hours. It was awesome!! I brought some into work the next day to share my leftovers and those who tried it said it was the best they ever had and requested the recipe. Very nice compliment considering I have never made it before! Thanks for the recipe!!!

Herb Rubbed Sirloin Tip Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2009
In a word, FABULOUS!!! Took the advise of another reviewer and cooked it in my crock pot on top of foil balls for 10hrs on low for a 4lb roast. Cut cayenne pepper in half, but may use full amount next time. Meat fell apart and was super moist! Making again this weekend, that's how much we all liked it! Made gravy with drippings which had an awesome kick to it, not your ordinary boring gravy. Made with garlic/sour cream red mashed potatoes and corn. I can't express enough how good this is!! Thanks for the post, it's now a regular in my house!!

Cod with Italian Crumb Topping

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2009
Very good!! I took the advise of others and used 2T mayo & 2t of lemon juice mixed with some sauted garlic in olive oil. I also soaked the fish in milk to rid of the fishy taste. Used slightly more seasoning and even my 12 year old who hates fish was eating it off of my plate!! Thank you, will be a regular dish in our household.

Pizza Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
Very Good!! I didn't use green pepper or pepperoni only because I didn't have any, but I will try next time. I used extra garlic, Italian sausage and Italin seasoning along with the ground beef and onion. I also added black olives and used a some spaghetti sauce only because I didn't have enough pizza sauce. Also used elbow noodles because I didn't have egg noodles. I too added some cheese to the mixture and then topped with more cheese the final 10 minutes of baking. Whole family loved it, will be making again soon!!

Death By Chocolate III

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2008
My sister made this for Easter and being a chocoholic, I had to have this recipe! The only thing she did different was use Mini M&M's instead of english toffee because my daughter is severly allergic to nuts. She layered it in a trifle bowl and the presentation with the multi colored Mini M&M's looked amazing!! I am making this for a pot luck lunch at work this week and I can't wait to enjoy this again!!! Thank you!!!
