About this Cook
I'm a graphic/web designer by day and cook by night. I've always loved cooking and learned to bake at a very young age. I also have an obsession with tea.
My favorite things to cook
I love trying new recipes out, but some of my favorite standbys are shepherd's pie, and stir fries or pastas with lots of veggies. Oh and baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Tea, tea and more tea, baked goods by the pile, and homemade/homegrown everything. (Scottish/Irish background) I'm currently working on a handwritten and illustrated heirloom cookbook.
My cooking triumphs
Learning how to completely omit milk products from my diet through creative substitutions/econo-cooking through college.
My cooking tragedies
3rd degree burns from draining spaghetti into a clogged sink (didn't realize it was plugged!) I couldn't drain ANYTHING for a year!

Apple Honey Bundt Cake
Good cake. I made it pretty much as is- just added a bit more of the spices because I like things spicy! Didn't find it too sweet at all as other reviewers suggested. I dusted it with icing sugar, cinnamon and cardamom.
