About this Cook
I love to cook. I have gradually been changing to a healthier diet over the past few years, although I always ate relatively healthy food. Switching from a semi-carnivous diet to a vegetarian diet (again).
My favorite things to cook
Everything! (except for beef and pork recipes. I don't cook what I don't eat)
My favorite family cooking traditions
I make three sweet potato cheesecakes every thanksgiving. I started this tradition myself.
My cooking triumphs
Two most notable triumphs: vegetarian chili that vegetarians and meat-eaters alike loved, and perfecting my baked mac and cheese.
My cooking tragedies
the very first time i tried to cook plain ol' white rice, it was a disaster ( I was like 11 years old tho lol). And that time I make turkey meatloaf and added too much flour (why I added flour at all is beyond me) it was a horrible experience.

Italian Cookies II
wow. i rarely make cookies from scratch and i never made italian cookies before and these are delicious. so moist and light and just sweet enough. i wanted to make something different and without chocolate chips. i followed the recipe except when making the frosting, i added an extra tablespoon of butter and i used pure orange extract instead of vanilla. the vanilla in the cookie with the orange flavored frosting was a great combo.

Spicy Vegan Potato Curry
I followed the recipe but added more potatoes and it was too spicy, and I like spicy food. The flavors are good, but next time I will omit the cayenne pepper, use less garam masala, and use large peas instead of petite. The sauce can easily be used as a base for other recipes. I'll try it with other veggies and put it over rice.
