I've been craving blueberry cobbler like my mother used to make.  I've tried a couple recipes recently that just didn't meet the standard.  Mom's cobbler was like a layered pie - crust, fruit, crust fruit, crust.  The crust was like a flakey pie crust.  The juice from the… MORE

Bake until golden brown, serve with whipped cream or ice cream. Enjoy!
Pour the sugar-water over the contents of the pan.
Pour the last cup of fruit over the slices in the pan, evenly (See? It's Okay!).

About this Cook
I have been cooking most of my life. I have been a professional cooking instructor since 2005. I live alone, currently but cook for over 150 people 5 days a week.
My favorite things to cook
Comfort foods are my favorite. I love to cook things that make people smile and feel warm inside.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Basic southern cooking, with some ethnic items tossed in. My fatheris the big cook in the family and (still) loves trying new things.
My cooking triumphs
Thanksgiving dinner... a challenge to coordinate, with many bad events in the past. 2007 was finally a complete success! Timing is everything!
My cooking tragedies
... Thanksgiving dinners, again... seems something is usually underdone, overdone, undone... It's almost like I have some kind of mental block when it comes to Thanksgiving.

Chicken Piccata III
I made this, as written with only one exception: I sauted minced garlic with the mushrooms, instead of using garlic powder. This is a very good recipe and I will be making it again.

Sweet Mustard Chicken Bake
I used this recipe on chicken thighs. I did make one change, because thighs not as lean as breasts. I omitted the butter entirely and used 1 TBS canola oil to make the sauce a little thinner. The chicken was very flavorful without being overwhelming and I enjoyed it. I will try it with breasts and butter, next time. This is a keeper.

Parmesan Chicken
I used boneless chicken thighs for this, instead of breasts (I prefer the flavor of thighs). It was crisp and flavorful. It was easy and very good! I even submitted a photo of my version!
