About this Cook
I am married to a wonderful man, his name is Jim. I am a Licensed Massage Therapist, and want to aquire some new & interesting recipes that I can share with my clients, that are nutrional and well balanced. I enjoy spending time with our dog Otis, he's more like a son, than a dog!! Jim and I enjoy NHRA Drag Racing and Riding our Harley's! I am Polish and when I cook or bake, it's like I am cooking or baking for an army, so I have left overs for a week.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make my own Pie Crusts and all of my cookie doughs from scratch. I enjoy making Polish dishes, my most favorite would be Lazy Pieorgi. Real Mashed Potatoes, not that junk you buy in a box! Fresh, Crisp Veggies, Apple Pies, Mixed Berry Pies, Banana Split Pie, Cream Cheese Cookies, Ricotta Cheese Cookies, Sugar Cookies, Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter Cookies, Polish Sausage, Egg Bakes, Chicken & Roasts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every Christmas my mom & Aunt would bake cookies, I would help for a few and then get bored and leave the kitchen!!! Now, I bake just as many cookies by myself every year because we live so far apart :~( I would always assist my mom with cooking for the holidays. One Easter my mom couldn't cook, so I did all the prep work and all the cooking and I was very surprised that everything came out as good as it did.
My cooking triumphs
The first time I baked an apple pie~ and made my own dough for the pie. I had no clue of what I was doing, but it was the best pie I have ever tasted. It really got me into baking many different kinds of pies.
My cooking tragedies
I have only had a few ~ one was the first time that I made myself pork chops, I was trying to make them like my mom did, and it was a total disaster, then again I was only 16! One other time, was when I threw something in the oven, Jim and I had to go return a rental car to the airport and figured it would only take us about 1/2 hour and we would be home before the food was done. Well that wasn't so ~ we got stuck at the airport because of security and when we got home, our dinner was burnt in the oven, but it was still really tastey!!!

White Pizza with Roasted Garlic and Green Olives
This was a delicious recipe! I changed some of the toppings, but this was one of the best Pizza's I ever made. I also used a Rosemary & Herb dough, prepared from Fresh & Easy. And that really added to the flavor of the pizza. I will def be keeping this recipe! This is great for parties as well!

Lazy Man's Pierogi
This is one of my favorite dishes to make. I have been making it for years. The only thing different that I do, instead of the cream of mushroom soup, I add some of the bacon grease to the mixture. It gives it a lot more flavor that the cream of mushroom soup.
