About this Cook
Hi, my name's Sarah and I'm 21 years old. I'm recently married to the man of my dreams and we've just bought our first house together, which we're very excited about. I work full time as an emergency dispatcher and I'm hoping to go back to school to study... well I'm not really sure at this point. In my free time I LOVE to cook and spend time with the family. We have a sassy great dane named Audrey and a spitfire tabby cat named Max.
My favorite things to cook
Dessert, spaghetti (It's just so easy!), stuffed mushrooms, enchiladas, chicken and dumplings, homemade cheesy "Red Lobster" biscuits...
My favorite family cooking traditions
Every year on Christmas morning at my father's house we'd make a HUGE breakfast after opening gifts
My cooking triumphs
I made my first cheesecake not too long ago and it came out great! I'd always heard horror stories of cheesecake burning, cracking, or just ending up plain horrible, but due to a yummy recipe and a few tips (from this site of course!) I didn't have a crumb left!
My cooking tragedies
Porkchops. Maybe I just don't have enough experience with them, but it never turns out very good ... we just decided to stop making them since we're not big on pork anyway.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way
This is the same technique my mom uses on her turkey! So good!

Four Cheese Macaroni
This wasn't bad ... I wouldn't call it "creamy" though. I even doubled the cheese and it still came out in a dry, solid, block ... will keep looking for a creamier mac and cheese recipe ...

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie
This was a HUGE hit at the baby shower I took it to. I covered the top of my pie in lots of crumbled peanut butter cups. Everyone thought it was some kind of peanut butter cup icecream and one woman demanded the recipe!
