Marinated Baked Pork Chops

These were good but I probably won't make them again. The sauce is kind of like a barbecue but I wasn't crazy about it. We did use boneless chops so they only took 20 minutes in the oven. Thanks for the recipe.

Italian Dressing Mix

Wow this is really good. I cut back on the salt per other reviews, and mixed it with a new oil that's a blend of olive oil and canola, and we used it on salad. Thanks for the recipe!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Good recipe. I don't understand how others are saying they "doubled the liquid". I have a large pie plate and this recipe as-is filled it to the top of the crust. We didn't let it rest long enough and ended up eating it soupy over mashed potatoes, but it was good. After dinner I realized that it got really thick as it cooled. Guess we'll let it rest longer next time.

Bruschetta with Shallots

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana

This soup has good flavor. The only thing I will do differently next time is slice the potatoes thicker. I sliced them thin, and they virtually melted into the soup. I do like to simmer my soup a bit longer. Also it was pretty salty so I'd use low-sodium chicken broth.

Orzo with Parmesan and Basil

Great recipe. It was a little salty though, I used 1/4 c powdered jar parmesan and 1/4 cup freshly grated, which is salty. Plus the chicken broth AND I added salt. Next time I will use reduced sodium broth and don't add any extra.

Baked Pork Chops I

This is a really different flavor, I wasn't too crazy about the wine flavor so I think next time I will deglaze the pan with the wine so it cooks down a bit and is not so significant. My BF really loved these. Thanks for the recipe!

Apple Crisp II

This was really good and easy to make. We served it with vanilla ice cream. I halved the recipe and used 4 apples in a 8x8" pan. I think I might add a bit more melted butter next time, as my crumb topping was kind of dry. Thanks for the recipe!

Garlic Red Potatoes

We enjoyed these but I think I will lessen the amount of lemon juice or omit it all together next time. You could really taste the sour in them. I had to bake them for about 55 minutes and then turned on the broiler for 7 minutes to brown them. Thanks for the recipe!

Amish Macaroni Salad

Nobody ever asks me to bring macaroni salad to the parties because, well, my macaroni salad left a lot to be desired. I made this recipe for the 4th of July and everyone asked for the recipe! Yippee! It is really fantastic. I made it the day before and let it "ripen" in the fridge and that made it extra good! This will be my regular recipe from now on. Thanks!

Scalloped Potatoes and Onions

I probably won't use this recipe again. The potatoes had a good flavor from the chicken broth, but I didn't find them creamy at all. As a matter of fact, they were dry. And when I added the mayonnaise to hot broth, it congealed and I never did get it mixed in real good. Think I'll stick with the ol' milk recipes. Thanks anyway.

Honey Glazed Ham

I made this for our Easter ham, the glaze is really good. Will definately use it from now on. The glaze somehow got through the heavy-duty foil I lined the pan with, and it's not a fun clean-up so I may try the oven bag idea next time. If your ham isn't 5 lbs., you can time it at 15 minutes per lb. or use a meat thermometer to 140 degrees.

Loved this bread...thanks for the recipe! I did end up using more flour than was called for, so make sure you have extra on-hand and add until you get the consistency correct.

Pan-Fried Asparagus

Wow this was great, will make all my asparagus this way from now on. The only thing was I put a lid on the pan and cooked it quite a while longer because we like our asparagus a little more tender. Thanks!
