Mom's Macaroni and Cheese

This was really, really good. I cut the recipe in half because there's just 2 of us and we wiped out the whole dish. I had some garlic & herb breadcrumbs that I used and it gave it a little more flavor. Will make this again! Thanks for the recipe!

Barbecued Ribs

Thanks for this recipe! We got tired of the sticky-sweet bottled sauce, wanted something not so obnoxious. This sauce is fabulous! It's just perfect to add flavor to the ribs without being overpowering. The ribs were fall-apart tender. I only did one thing different and that was to use some juices out of the pan in place of water.

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

Sorry to say we really didn't care for these. I used Bisquick, and followed directions to a T, but they did not brown one bit during the alloted time and I had to pull them out, brush them with the butter mix, and put them under the broiler to get them browned. By then they were just kind of dry and crumbly.

Tzatziki Sauce I

This was really good, we used it on lamb kebobs but I'm thinking of other things to dip in it too. It was awfully runny, though. I did add some cucumber and didn't squish out the water (my first error), and I think next time I'll either get the greek yogurt (which I've read here that it is thicker) or I'll drain my yogurt for a while first. Flavor is awesome! Thanks for the recipe!

Stuffed Green Peppers I

This was very good. I was stressing at first about the amount of rice and how much juice was in the beef saute pan, but it all worked out great after baking them. We didn't use the cheese. I even ate one and I hate green peppers. Thanks for the recipe, Suzanne! It's a keeper!

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

These were very good, made them for Easter dinner and everyone loved them! Just be careful your casserole dish is big enough...I cut it too close and wow what a mess in the oven! Duh! Will make these again and again (in a bigger dish!). Thanks for the recipe!!

Braised Balsamic Chicken

This was awesome! I did cut back on the herbs a little. We're already thinking of different variations of this dish, like doubling the sauce and serving over fettucini. Will definately be making this again. Thanks for the recipe!

Pizza On The Grill I

I normally don't stray too far from a recipe's original instructions, but I'm just terrible at making dough so I cheated and bought a pre-made frozen pizza dough ball at the grocery store. Followed the rest of the directions and it was fabulous! Can't wait to make this when we have guests. We're already thinking up all of the toppings we could try. We live in the country, and there are a few pizza restaurants within driving distance, but none that we think are all that. Will be making our own pizza from now on! Thanks for the recipe!

Banana Crumb Muffins

This is nuts...my boyfriend, who rarely eats sweets, found one of these muffins that I hid in his lunch today and actually called me halfway through eating it to let me know how fantastic it was!! He said 'I would eat these again' which is actually a great compliment! I love them too. I put some in the freezer so I hope they will freeze well. Thanks for the recipe, Lisa!!

Scrumptious Strawberry Shortcake

I don't know what went wrong here. My dough was beautiful, and then it never turned 'golden' in the oven so I ended up leaving it in for more time. My boyfriend said it was like eating crunchy toast. I'm sure this recipe is fantastic and I just failed miserably at it.

Sweet Restaurant Slaw

This did taste like the restaurant slaw, but I have to say, with the addition of the vegetable oil, it had a 'slimy' texture. Next time I will use a very small amount of oil and put some extra miracle whip and vinegar in. I would suggest upping the vinegar anyway, it was all sweet and no tang.

Catherine's Spicy Chicken Soup

There are so many ingredients I almost changed my mind about making this one...glad I didn't! It's fantastic. I thought a jar of salsa was wierd, but it all comes together in the end. It was great with some tortillas and cheddar cheese on top. One hint though if you want to freeze your leftovers...don't add the sour cream into the pot. Put a dollop on a bowl. I added it into the pot and when I froze/defrosted, there were little speckles of sour cream floating in it. Still tasted great but looked funny. Thanks for the recipe!!

Carrot Cake III

I am so glad to have this recipe! I made it for my nephew's birthday, not knowing carrot cake was his favorite. He was so thrilled, and I was praying it tasted good when we cut it...and it came through! He's already designated this cake as his birthday cake from now on. It is really fabulous. Tomato-Cream Sauce for Pasta

Wow! This sauce was really good, and we're so addicted to regular marinara sauce that I was afraid to stray. But it was a real hit! We served it over rotini and added sliced grilled chicken to make it a meal, but I think it would be great over ziti as a side dish also. Thanks for the recipe!

Best Marinara Sauce Yet

I liked this sauce, but I would probably omit the wine or use a dryer wine next time. I used a Finger Lakes Riesling, it added an odd flavor for some reason. My boyfriend really liked it, though, so maybe it's just my taste.

Red Velvet Cake III

The flavor of this cake was really good, but it wasn't very pretty. I followed the recipe exactly but the cake sunk in while it was cooling, and there was a short layer at the bottom of the cake that was kind of gummy. I must have done something wrong....

Kansas City Steak Soup

I've never been to Kansas City but boy their Steak Soup sure is good! We really liked this recipe, will cut it in half next time as there are only two of us and we were eating it for days! I used a sirloin steak because that's what I had on hand, and it melted in your mouth.

Broccoli Chicken Divan

This was good but I wasn't too fond of the cream of broccoli soup, think I would make it again and use cream of chicken instead. Also, make sure you don't cook the broccoli too much before it bakes, it will turn to mush in the casserole. Thanks for the recipe.

The Whole Jar of Peanut Butter Cookies

These were very good, I will make them again, but I omitted the peanuts and I think they would be better with that crunchiness in there. Would even try it with crunchy peanut butter, or Ooooh add some chocolate chips!! Great recipe, easy to make and work with...thanks!
