I am 58 years old, single, disabled and retired. I live in a small apartment in a coastal town. Because of my disability, I am unable to cook very often (cannot be on my feet for extended periods of time), plus it just really is not one of my favorite things to do. However, I do want to eat something besides fast food so I am looking for easy recipes for both myself and my caregiver to cook.
My favorite things to cook
I am going to assume this means things I like to eat, since I don't really like cooking much. I like hamburger cooked in all sorts of ways, also potatoes (every way but Tater Tots). I love a good roast, pork or beef, and a tender steak, and I am a big fan of casseroles that can be made to last for several days.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I do have one recipe for a fruit cobbler that was handed down to me from my great-great-grandmother. It is great hot as a late-night snack/dessert, and also cold or warmed in the morning for breakfast.
My cooking tragedies
I burned a pot of water last night. :)
