About this Cook
I have spent much of my life in a kitchen. It all started in my Grandmother's kitchen on the farm in MN. She was the most amazing cook and chef I've ever known! This is where I learned that a recipe is just a starting block and the rest is up to the person cooking. I am a seriously addicted knitter and have just added clay sculpting to the crafty mix.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts are a fun passion because the men in my house are all huge sweet tooth people! For myself I love going for the new and exotic recipes from around the world.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Grandmother in the kitchen baking bread every morning and being able to whip up something amazing for a meal with only going to a market once a week. Even if it's was 4 or 5 more people showing up she was never baffled at the stove!
My cooking triumphs
Making something that my family will eat that isn't a just plain meat and potatos.
My cooking tragedies
There are far to many for the 1000 character max!!!

Butter Beef
Very easy and very yummy. I served with steamed brown and wild rice, not noodles. Kids want me to make again....that's always a good sign!

Vietnamese/Chinese Pork Chops
Kids and Hubby LOVED this. There wasn't a single leftover and they asked me to make more chops the next time I made it. Served with steamed jasmine rice and fresh sliced cucumber. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!
