About this Cook
Hello, I'm 29 and I love this site! The recipes are great and the member reviews are helpful. I would love to start some of my own recipes on here and see the response from people that tried them. I've never had any cooking classes just always enjoyed whipping something up in the kitchen!
My favorite things to cook
Anything from scratch, pastas and chicken dishes. I also like cooking healthy low fat meals and making up different things to try to make eating healthy taste really good!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't really have any other than big feasts during Christmas and Thanksgiving.
My cooking triumphs
I cooked my very first Thanksgiving dinner this year on my own everything from scratch and every single thing I made everybody just hoot n hollered about how good it was.
My cooking tragedies
I tore my acl in my knee and was in crutches for 6 weeks because I bent over to get the pie outta the oven and I twisted wrong and out my knee popped!

Terry's Texas Pinto Beans
I gave this 4 star, but 5 star on following modifications. I'd stick with normal chicken broth. Was not salty enough, was lacking flavor, but adding regular chicken broth and some garlic powder about a t. brang out the flavors and really tickled the taste buds. I was scared to add garlic powder at first cuz was figuring with the low sodium chicken broth was low sodium for a reason, and it would make it too salty, but honestly not sure why it's low sodium, a little more saltiness is the final touch in this pinto bean recipe.

Easy Chicken Curry
One of the reviewers is right, something has to be missing, I was gonna cook it as is, i started to and you cant, the sauteed onions with curry dries up fast, had to add water, or broth or something. Even after adding chicken broth, it was still pretty bland. We had to add plenty of soy sauce on the rice and butter and other seasonings to make it have some sort of flavor to it.

Blender Hollandaise Sauce
I really can't put a star value on this yet,cuz I made this to what a user said and it turned out way to lemony. I'll put 5 though for great consistency and easiness. Anyways, Do not listen to the reviews to double the lemon, I did and I could barely put it in my mouth, and I love lemon! As for the consistency it turned out great and I just put the ingredients in my magic bullet, mixed, nuked the butter in microwave poured it in the bullet, mixed again, warmed it up for about 15 seconds in microwave and it was fine.
