About this Cook
Hello, I'm 29 and I love this site! The recipes are great and the member reviews are helpful. I would love to start some of my own recipes on here and see the response from people that tried them. I've never had any cooking classes just always enjoyed whipping something up in the kitchen!
My favorite things to cook
Anything from scratch, pastas and chicken dishes. I also like cooking healthy low fat meals and making up different things to try to make eating healthy taste really good!
My favorite family cooking traditions
I don't really have any other than big feasts during Christmas and Thanksgiving.
My cooking triumphs
I cooked my very first Thanksgiving dinner this year on my own everything from scratch and every single thing I made everybody just hoot n hollered about how good it was.
My cooking tragedies
I tore my acl in my knee and was in crutches for 6 weeks because I bent over to get the pie outta the oven and I twisted wrong and out my knee popped!

The Best Turkey Chili
Ok my taste buds must suck and my families, cuz this was really REALLY bland! Everyone that had some said so as well. I give it a two star cuz you can un make it bland which brought the flavor out, but I had to add quite a bit of garlic salt and onion powder. I followed ther recipe to the T too. I couldn't even taste the wine, maybe the seasoning and wine needs to be doubled? Just mind boggles me people are saying 2 T. of chili powder made it too spicey to eat... I can't handle spice and this was about as spicey as baked beans.

Holiday Cranberry Chutney
This was awesome, everyone loved it, definitely put it on top of triscuits and cream cheese. But even without it you can serve as a cranberries for thanksgiving or christmas dinner, and they are the best you'll ever have. I didn't change a thing, even though I wanted to mash it, I didn't and it turned out perfect!

Barbie's Tuna Salad
Wow, very yummy! I was about to make a tuna fish sandwich and decided to check this site first for a unique recipe, This one seemed easy enough it was too! I cut serving size down to 2 and used a 5 oz can of tuna, came out perfect!
