Garlic Bread Fantastique
since it was just a dinner for two, I had to recalculate the ingredients ... took the base of the butter, garlic (minced) and mayo (hellmens).. used Italian seasoning instead of oregano/sage ... like the flavor of the mix better ... just personal preference. Tasted it, added some salt and pepper to my taste ... I also added some dried parsley ... buttered up some Italian sliced bread ... and BAM ... some of the best garlic bread I've had!!! Great idea with the mayo ... my mother worked in a dinner in the 50s, they used mayo alot in place of butter for grilled sandwhiches ... never put the two together! Thanks a Million!!!!!!!

Pea Salad I
Love it!!! After finding this recipe here over 5 years ago it has become a staple at all of our family get togethers! After making it several times I decided to change it up a little bit by adding various things. No way, they all wanted the "old pea salad" back! The one thing I did change was the layering... lettuce, peas, eggs, dressing, cheese then bacon. I also make it up the night before to give everything a chance to "meld" ... Great recipe, thank you so much!!!

Kielbasa and Cabbage
What a great "comfort food"!! I've made this a couple of times ... I don't have seasoning salt, used kosher and it did just fine. I also cut my cabbage into 1/2" strips, and slice the onion, rather than chopping it. Like others, I browned off my kielbasa, then added in the last 15 minutes ... I like it better this way. The first time I made it, I sauteed the onion/garlic prior to adding cabbage, won't do that again, the onion just seemed to disappear! I like the texture of the sliced onion when it's cooked the same amount of time as the cabbage. Thank you again!!!
