Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 17, 2009
These were a huge hit. I had to use a different type of baking apple which was a bit softer than a granny smith. Next time i'll make sure I get granny smith apples because i did think the apple kind of disappeared inside because it was a softer apple. I used gingerale instead of mountain dew - i imagine using mountain dew would make it even sweeter but i thought it was sweet enough already. Overall a great recipe and i will make it again & again!

I didn't really care for these meatballs. I found them too cheesy and kind of bland.

Peanut Butter Bars I

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
These bars are the best! Everyone says they are better than Reese's PB Cups. I was skeptical because im not a Huge fan of graham crackers but they were amazing! I didnt make any changes to the recipe. The Peanut butter this recipe calls for equaled one small jar of PB and the choc chips equal a little less than one bag. I will be making these again. possibly for my christmas cookie trays.

Cream Cheese Squares

Reviewed: Aug. 31, 2009
I found this recipe when i was searching for a sweet cream cheese to put on beligan waffles. I decided to try to recipe as well as use it on my beligan waffles (w/ strawberries all over it!) and its delicious for both! Any time i've made this I add any fruit spread or jelly I have in the fridge to make it even tastier. I spoon on 3 lines of the jelly before putting on the second layer of cresent rolls. Always a hit at family brunches!

Creamy Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
With such high ratings from so many people I thought I would love this recipe. I think I prefer baked rice pudding for a few reasons - its not as rich as this was and the eggs started to cook even though I stirred it as soon as I put it in. I found it really gross to get a few pieces of cooked egg while eating it. It was a very good recipe, but I won't make it again.

Three Cheese Garlic Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2008
This was really good. This will definately be made again. I did make a few changes. I chopped up the garlic and added an onion. I didn't have enough Heavy cream so I used sour cream and milk also. Someone else had suggested it. I also added Ham between the layers. I forgot the butter while I was putting it together, but didn't seem to make a difference.

Tomato Vodka Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2008
Very Good! Easy to make. The only thing I did differently was I added 4 cloves of garlic because I love it and didn't use crushed red pepper because I forgot to buy some. My friend was hesitant to try because she hates vodka, but she loved it, and couldn't stop talking about how good it is. I will definately make it again.

Grandmother Stougaard's Caramel Pecan Sweet Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
I didn't actually make the cinnamon rolls, but I did use the pecan syrup part of this recipe. I really dont like how long it takes to make any cinnamon roll/sticky bun, but I love them, so instead I bought some pillsbury cinnabon cinnamon rolls, put them in the mixture, let them sit over night and bake them in the morning... Delicious!! and much less work!!

Delicious!! I did double, possibly triple the cheese, but I love cheese. And doubled the ham just like everyone suggested. Great base recipe though. My boyfriend and Best friend said it was the best scallop potatoes and ham they've ever had!! I will definately make it again

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2008
I thought this was very good. Everyone at my party loved it. I took a suggestion and boiled the chicken, which I really did not like. It didn't take long to do it, which was nice - but it made the chicken turn grey, which I thought was really strange. It still tasted great though. Also it was a little greasy after baking it.

Spinach Dip with Water Chestnuts

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2007
I've been making this forever. I use a packet of Ranch dressing powder mix instead of the dry veg. mix. Also- use one cup of sour cream instead of 16 ounces. It Tastes delicious, and is a family favorite. I usually get two loafs of bread one to cut up, and one to hollow out for the dip. My favorite bread to use is a Garlic Tuscan bread.

Instant Russian Tea

Very good, a bit too sweet. I was hoping it would be exactly like my grandma's used to be. I think next time i won't add as much sugar, or lemonade mix to make it more to my liking! But thank you very much for posting this recipe, otherwise I would of never had anything even NEAR my grandma's recipe!!
