Very yummy. I used ideas I read in the other comments and added some chopped garlic and cooked the filling in a little bit if the bacon grease before adding it to the flank, I also added a few slices of swiss. My grill wasn't working so I stuck the slices in a roasting pan on a flat rack and baked for 30 minutes at 350. The steak was cooked medium rare.

I used some ideas from other comments, and this recipe is just fabulous. I used reduced fat sour cream instead of mayo, and fresh baby spinach (steamed), I also tucked the bacon in the pocket with the filling. Came out moist and tender, and my five year old cleaned his plate (that alone makes this 5 stars).

Absolutely fantastic! I made 24 meatballs out of this recipe, so I boiled some spaghetti and served that for dinner, with meatball subs as leftovers the next day. Best meatballs on allrecipes.
