I am still pretty young but have been cooking with my family for longer then I can remember. Still, I didn't really start cooking seriously until about 4 years ago! I swim and play soccer with a team out of Maine and love to draw and sew whenever I have the time! I love to cook dessert for my family whenever I have the chance! Also I'm trying to countinue to have a healthy lifestyle and try to cook as much healthy\whole grain food as possible! During Christmas our house is usually bursting with sweets of all types. My favorite, that I've been baking first with my mother and now alone since age 3 is our Christmas Butter Cookies. I am still baking them now and carrying on the tradition! I have been trying for years to bake a jelly roll without it falling apart. Finally last Christmas, I made a perfect jelly roll and it got rave reviews from everyone! Decorating cakes is my next big challenge. Right now I still can't make them look all that fancy, but I'm working up to it! Once, I tried to bake cookies and forgot to put cooking oil on the pan. When I got them out of the oven I was really upset! My family ended up eating them right out of the pan! At least we all got a good laugh out of it!
