I am a teenage girl valiantly attempting to navigate the cullinary world. It's been going pretty good so far. My other interests include writing, painting, music, guitar, piano, swimming, and reading. Anything not involving meat. Though I guess Italian food is really fun. I also enjoy converting meat recipes to vegitarian. My family is culturaly Russian, so we have a plethora of delicious cultural dishes. I need to learn how to cook more of them from my grandmothers...Also, one of these days, when I have time, I'm going to attempt to vegitarian-ize some of the favorite dishes of my childhood. Making father's day brunch for my family--definately my biggest triumph so far. That was the first time I cooked for anyone outside my parents and brother. I haven't really had any yet...I've had mishaps, but I've never actually ruined a recipe so far *knocks on wood*. This one time a few years ago, though, I was heating some oil on a pan to make eggs and forgot about it...Yeah, it caught on fire.
