Roast Beef Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
Very good stew, especially since it doesn't take very long to make. The consistency is perfect, the tomato juice adds great flavor. I made the following modifications: used 2 lbs of beef instead of 2 cups (would recommend this, or at least adding more than suggested), used 4 stalks each of chopped carrots and celery. I also accidentally forgot the lima beans, which my fiance was happy about but I would have liked to try it included. I dredged the beef chunks in flour and browned with oil and 4 cloves of chopped garlic. I used a regular stove-top soup pan (I have an electric range so I stirred often to avoid burning). Still have some leftovers and plan to make again!

Best Chicken Ever

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
Tasty, but as other reviewers did, I added more spices to the breading mixture(garlic powder, seasoning salt, and more Italian seasoning - be generous as amount indicated in ingredients is a bit bland). Be generous with the sour cream, that is a good source of flavor in the chicken. P.S. - An easy way of crushing the corn flakes is to put into a ziploc bag and mash with just abotu anything.

Sweet and Simple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2008
Very simple and very tasty. I baked the pork chops due to sub-zero temps outside, and they turned out very good. I used a little seasoning salt, and about 10 mins from complete I topped with store bought apple sauce and shredded cheddar cheese. Very good! The picky fiance enjoyed as well.

Marinated Venison Steaks

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2007
Very good marinade! I followed the marinade recipe but grilled the steaks and they came out perfect. I would either make a little more marinade or save some to dip the steak into while you are eating. I also cooked mashed poatotes with the steak and the marinade is VERY good over the potatoes.

Quick Clam Spaghetti

Reviewed: May 22, 2007
Excellent dish; this has been passed down for generations in my family. The secret to this recipe is adding your own personal flavor! Some of my favorite additions are (not all at once): Red Wine (makes it a bit more moist and adds unbelievable flavor), several small cherry tomatoes, & White Wine. I also like to saute the sauce as instructed, but then add the noodles to the skillet and toss while still heating. This seems to infuse the flavor into the noodles well. Mangia!
