About this Cook
I am a mother of three wonderful children. I learned most of my recipes from my grandmother and those recipes have been passed down for generations. I cook really well but would not call myself an expert.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are desserts and trying new things that catch my eye.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pan de Polvo and eevery year I make tamales with my grandmother and other family member and at New Years we make Manueols
My cooking triumphs
When I first learnes how to make homemade tortillas without any help and started cooking with no supervision or advice, I am proud when I can cook strictly from memory.
My cooking tragedies
The first roast i ever made. I seasoned it and put it in a roasting pan and didn't remember if it was supposed to have a bit of oil or a bit of water. So I covered the roast in oil. It was soo gross not even my dog woulod eat it . But my husband tatsed it gave me a hug and ytold me it was the best roast he had ever eaten in his life. He got sick that night. lol

Cherry Cheesecake Pie
Tried to make this and it never set right. Filling was runny and taste was too sweet.

Slow Cooker Creamy Potato Soup
This recipe rocks!!! My family loves it, but I tweak it a bit by adding grilled chicken right before I serve, It makes the soup a bit more hearty and filling and it disappears quick. I too have to add the bacon before I serve so it stays crispy. I think next time I'll try cheddar chesse with it to!!
