About this Cook
I am a mother of 3, grandmother of 4. My youngest daughter and I really enjoy cooking together. I try to teach her and my son especially how to cook so they can take care of themselves in the kitchen when they are older, and me too! OUr family loves animals and we hope to someday soon move out of the city and to the country so we can have all the animals we can handle.
My favorite things to cook
I love to cook Southern food. I hope to someday open a restaurant here in the West that specializes in Southern cuisine.....and has specialties such as frogs legs, alligator and snake on the menu.
My favorite family cooking traditions
ON sundays we have a big dinner with all of the family.
My cooking triumphs
Teaching my youngest daughter how to cook so well, that she makes up her own recipes and they are fantastic. also teaching my oldest daughter how to cook when she was young and now she prepares wonderful meals for her family
My cooking tragedies
When i was first married, and didnt know how to cook....i used a crock pot and tried to make some chicken stuff...i didnt know to brown the chicken so i just put it in the crock pot...didnt know what else to put in it so i put some hash brown potatoes with frozen onions and peppers in it....i let it cook all day and it smelled so good....then i opened the lid and saw this slimy gooey rubbery skinned raw looking mess....it almost made me sick just to look at it so i had to throw it out.

Steve's Spicy Shrimp Kabobs
I made a few changes in the recipe...I stuffed the whole jalapeno instead of the half and then wrapped it in bacon, also on some of them i stuffed some shredded mozzarella cheese with the shrimp and then wrapped. I also sprayed the outside with some italian salad dressing spray.....they were a HIT!!!
