EAGLE BRAND® Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
Fool proof and awesome, you won't be disappointed if you make this. No changes needed, just make sure you use REAL white chocolate with some cocoa butter content, not that white candy coating stuff.

White Chocolate Fudge

Reviewed: Dec. 10, 2009
I love the sweetened condensed milk version of fudge. This is a great variation and yields a fudge with a very nice consistency. The only thing I changed was to add a 1/2 tsp of almond extract. Good stuff!

Brown Family's Favorite Pumpkin Pie

This rocked. I omitted the nuts because of an allergy, but otherwise followed the recipe and it turned out quite nicely. Best pumpkin pie I've ever had!

Easy and Quick Cream Cheese Potatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
I upped the butter to just over 1/2 a stick but otherwise left it as-is and this was delicious. Everyone raved over the potatoes at our Thanksgiving table. I didn't have the heart to tell everyone they were LOADED with cream cheese and butter! I'll never tell my secret...

Grandma's Famous Salmon Cakes

These turned out really well. The only change I made was to coat them in plain bread crumbs with a bit of old bay mixed in, and used olive oil instead of vegetable oil. Good stuff!

Cookies 'n' Creme Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 20, 2009
Awesome, awesome, awesome! Easy and oh so sweet - good for those, like me, that have a sweet tooth the size of the Grand Canyon! Followed the recipe exactly and chopped my cookies individually. It was a very attractive fudge to please all the senses. I'll be making this one for Christmas for sure!

Caramel Frosting IV

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
This is THE tastiest frosting of all time. Anything I frost this with gets rave reviews. My favorite use for this frosting is on pumpkin cookies. When I use it as a frosting for cookies I replace the milk with water and it works just as well and sets up nicely.

Luscious Date Bar Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2009
I hate to give negative reviews but I found this cake to be dry and tasteless. I was sorely disappointed because the word "luscious" in and of itself calls to mind other words such as moist, creamy, rich, etc. This was none of those. I was able to salvage the recipe by frosting them with a browned butter icing, but as-is they are dry little bars.

Roasted Garlic Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
Awesome! Roasted the garlic as indicated and it worked perfectly. I only used 1/4 C of butter as the creamy, roasted garlic is really all that is needed to make this delicious, assuming you're not afraid of copious amounts of garlic. Be ready to be sweating it out for days to come!

Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2009
As is this pie does not work - it should be 3/4 C of butter instead of a whole cup! Otherwise it tastes like eating a mouthful of butter. With 3/4 C butter the recipe is DIVINE!!!

Beer-Baked Irish Beef

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2009
This was really good. The only thing I changed was to add a bit of beef stock to my crock pot for a bit more flavor, and added celery and potatoes to the mix. I then thickened the gravy with a bit of corn starch. The beef was very tender, and the beer (I used Guinness) gave it an excellent flavor without being overpowering. I will make this one again.

Golden Sweet Cornbread

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
Very good cornbread recipe. I followed it to the letter and it was tasty, albeit a bit dry but worked well with chili. Next time I might add a 1/2 cup of sour cream or plain yogurt to add a bit more moisture, and perhaps some corn. I also loved that this was nice and crisp and brown on the outside. Overall a good recipe.

Easy Baked Tilapia

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2009
Excellent recipe! Followed it to the letter, except I used frozen tilapia and veggies. I let it thaw a bit before putting it in the oven, but it still only took about 25 minutes to cook. I will be making this again and again.

Wedding Cake Icing

This icing was excellent. Turned out perfectly white and worked well for decorating. The only thing I changed was to substitute butter flavoring for the almond extract, otherwise it is perfect as-is!

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: Jun. 29, 2009
I will never, ever use another frosting recipe ever again. This one is "it"!!! I melted 4 squares of white chocolate instead of dark, and did not have evaporated milk so I substituted heavy cream and it worked perfectly. It sets up well and does well holding up to decoration, but needs to be refrigerated. Thank you so much for the incredible, versatile recipe.

Great recipe for a change from the traditional, heavy sweetened condensed milk version of coconut macarrons. They are very light and fluffy. Many that tried them said they preferred this version!

Watermelon Pie

WOW. What an awesome pie for a hot summer day! I made exactly as written but used lite cool whip. I'm not sure why people are fining the need to freeze this pie? I dissolved the jello in 1/4 cup of boiling water and it set up nicely. The taste is light and airy and fantastic! Everyone I made this for fell in love and asked for the receipe!

Coconut-Cornflake Cookies

Excellent texture and easy to make, but only slightly more interesting than a regular coconut macaroon. I think next time I might add more corn flakes to add more of a different texture.

Sangria! Sangria!

Good recipe - only change made was to use Grand Mariner instead of the Triple Sec, as I am not a fan of triple sec. My boyfriend made this for a party and everyone loved it. The leftover fruit is addictive!
