I've been cooking since I could reach the stove. After school I would race home to watch Juila Child rather then cartoons. Cooking is one of my passions. I'm a young mother and love cooking for my family. I spend hours a day looking up recipes and watching the Food Network! Italin, Mexican, Southern dishes are what I am best at and what my husband and I enjoy the most. Blackeyed peas. Not many people like these little beans, but I love finding new ways to cook them for New Years Day. My uncle and I would always make homemade pies ofr Thanksgiving and Christmas...I miss that. I cooked with him since I was little and learned so much from him. I now am trying to get my son to enjoy the joy of cooking. He's 5. And as soon as my daughter is old enough (she's 2 months old) I will drag her into the kitchen as well. =) I think I have mastered lasagna. I do them different almost every time, but I think mine is better then any you get at any resturant....or ones I have been to so far. I burn cookies a LOT! I don't know what it is about cookies, but they are either underdone or burnt! LOL I don't enjoy baking cookies that's for sure.
